Privacy Policy
Book Nomads keeps only what your literary atlas needs to work. Here is what that means, in plain language.
What we keep
Your account: your email address and password (stored securely by our sign-in system), or your Google sign-in if you choose that option. Your email is never shown to other readers.
Your reader name: an anonymous username is created for you, which you can change in Settings.
Your reading: the books you are reading, want to read, or have finished, plus any notes, and the places and progress your atlas shows.
What you share: world tours you create or join, books you recommend, tour recommendations, and books you suggest for the library.
Why we keep it
Only to make Book Nomads work: to sign you in, fill in your personal map, show your bookshelf and tours, and count community recommendations. Recommendation counts are shown as totals — other readers cannot see who recommended what.
What we never collect
No advertising trackers, profiling, or selling of your data. We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing elsewhere, advertising identifiers, or device details.
Links to other sites
Some books include a “Get it on Amazon” link. Book Nomads is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program; if you follow one of these links, Amazon handles that visit under its own privacy policy. Book covers may be loaded from public book catalogs such as Open Library and Google Books. Links to the founder's site and merch shop also open those sites under their own policies.
Your choices
You can browse the map and library without an account. If you create one, you can change your username and delete your account at any time, in one step, from Settings — this removes your account and your personal reading data.
